Nun

A forgotten vocation.

Help bring it back through prayer and fasting.

What a great photograph! I know these Sisters very well. On the left is Mother Maria Giovanna of the Sacred Heart and on the right, Sister Maria Rita,. They are Daughters of the Heart of Jesus, a cloistered contemplative congregation founded by Blessed Marie of Jesus Deluil-Martiny (d. 1884). The Sisters have daily Eucharistic Adoration and offer themselves as victim souls in reparation for sins against the Blessed Sacrament and for the sins and neglects of priests and religious. Their foundress was murdered by a freemason in Marseille and died forgiving him. The Sisters had a wonderful monastery in Rome but had to give it up for lack of vocations. They have 6 convents now, including one in Venice where these Sisters live. Mother Giovanna has just been named Mother General and was in Rome to ask the Holy Father's blessing. They need vocations badly! Please pray for them!!!
