OC-Travel recommends you visit two
churches in Rome on this day. First, visit the gridiron on which St.
Lawrence was martyred, kept at the Basilica of San Lorenzo Lucinia (in a
side altar on the right). Second, in the evening, attend High Mass at
his tomb at the Basilica di San Lorenzo Fuori Le Mura. Also, it's a
great day to celebrate the feast in Florence at the Basilica di San
Lorenzo, one of the largest churches in the city, situated in the center
of the city's main market district. Buona festa!
