March 9 in Rome: Annual Blessing of Automobile Drivers on Feast of St. Frances of Rome (Patron of Automobile Drivers)
Since 1925, when Pius XI declared her the patron saint of auto drivers.
The blessing is done on the
Via dei Fori Imperiali, usually by Cardinal Sodano.
