I'm fine with a mic, provided it is discreet. The liturgy isn't just for God; it's also for the faithful, and if they cannot hear the prayers and readings, it diminishes the full experience of the service. We go to church in order to HEAR the Gospel proclaimed, and only then are we invited to partake of communion.
Served by the Sacristan of the Popes!

God doesn't need microphones to hear us.
ReplyDeleteNo mic please! I won't rant about it, but it seems off to me, almost vulgar or profane.
