What Cardinals Drink in the Vatican: Chartreuse
From the French Alps, this liqueur is made by the Carthusian monks since 1737 -- 130 herbs, plants and flowers are used in its preparation. Once a Byzantine priest in Rome told me: "No bar is complete without Chartreuse."
