I lived there for two weeks in August of 1979. I remember the heat, and the murder of a poor inoffensive grass snake by a terrified sixty year old Italian man. Fr du Chalard was there then and, poor man, he is there still.
While perhaps not to everybody's taste, Italian chapels tend to be decorated "quite differently" than what we expect. Some of those items were probably donated by families to the SSPX; they would not fail to put them in the chapel. I know that is what our priest has done. All in all, it is not THAT bad! -Donnacha

Very Nice.
ReplyDeleteWho designed that ugly mod chapel?
ReplyDeleteA nice chapel in the style of the liturgical movement era.

That chapel is nicer than 90% of what we have in the burbs in America.
