Not To Be Missed: Rome's Famed Weekly Divino Amore Pilgrimage
If you think the Faith is dead in Rome or Europe, then attend this pilgrimage with the thousands who participate. Held every Saturday at 12:00 a.m. - a pilgrimage on foot towards the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Divino Amore (located just outside Rome) starts from this place, near the Circo Massimo Metro stop. It takes place from the first Saturday after Easter until the last Saturday of October as well as on December 7, the vigil of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Each year many thousands of pilgrims participate in this weekly trek. Bring a bottle of water and a snack to eat during the break. Mass at dawn at the shrine and you can take a bus back to the city afterwards.
