From Rome: Room Where St. John of Matha Passed Away



Here the saint lived and died in a room (now a chapel) attached to this old aqueduct of Nero located on the Caelian Hill.
He passed away here on Dec. 17, 1213 and was then buried at the church here (later his body was moved to Salamanca, Spain).
