On the side of this old Fascist building in Foggia they still have painted these words from 1944 (the building had been made into the local Allied headquarters).
Hello. I happened upon your blog this morning. Interesting, nicely done.
I need a bit of advice. I'll be traveling (actually more like wandering) in Italy in 2010 and would like to know if there are any traditional (Latin liturgy) monasteries where I might spend some good retreat time. In recent years I've stayed at Benedictine abbeys in France -- Fontgombault, near Poitiers, and Ste-Madeliene, near Avignon. I'm American and live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year JP ! Congratulations on your work. How's our mutual friend Bishop Paul Serba doing? Give him my best.
