Fatima Statue Donated by 114 Roman Jews Saved During WWII is Lovingly Restored

Nice to see this lovely statue restored and painted like new!

This treasure was a gift to the Religious Teachers Filippini in Rome in thanksgiving for having saved the lives of 114 Jews during the Second World War.

The Jews who survived gave this statue to the sisters in gratitude for having secretly housed them for several months in their convent in the heart of Rome on the Via delle Botteghe Oscure.
