"I am so so sad. The Synod of bishops has caved to the world. In the most
important section of the final report, 80 dissented. These were the
true men of God. Heaven help our Church. This is a disaster of epic
proportions. If you want the info. (as opposed to spin), you can get it
at the Crux website by poking around. They are translating the Italian,
so you can read the contentious sections of the final report. The
implications will become clear in the days, months, years ahead. I'm
just warning you. This may be the saddest day in my whole life. The
Church is better - holier, truer - than this. We must look to God rather
than man - Ps. 118:8. God is in the one holy Catholic apostolic Church.
But not exactly where we should find Him!!"

Pope Francis has much to answer for,
ReplyDeleteThe church has always been merciful -- to those who repent and change their way there is mercy. But mercy has never been about "carry on in your way poor child, God is a God of mercy." Sometimes it is TOUGH to follow Jesus. He set a standard.
If you are in a bad marriage and it cannot be annulled you are stuck. God will give you the strength to bear the cross. And you will be a powerful witness to the beauty of marriage and its indissolubility. God's idea. Not one the Church made up.
We cannot alter God's law. It is what it is. You remarry then you are in adultery and you can't receive communion because you are living outside God's standard. Yes it is a hard saying. But it is God's saying.
Pope Francis really is doing damage. He isn't helping souls at all. Yes, he is popular and he gives the church a happy face...but to in anyway condone a sin is egregious behavior.
Pray for Mother Church. Mercy does not mean licence.
NO EXCUSING HIM BECAUSE OF HIS OFFICE. NO RATIONALIZING OR TRYING TO PUT A GOOD SPIN ON THINGS.
ReplyDeleteLAY THE BLAME WHERE IT SHOULD BE FOR THE SYNOD......POPE FRANCIS, AND HIS ASSOCIATES. BUT FRANCIS DIRECTED EVERYTHING FROM THE SHADOWS...LIKE AN SINISTER ENTITY.
