Don't let the bishop of Rome see that! He is NOT a Renisance prince, and the money for those flowers could have gone to the poor. Why have that garden at all? Francis should just fire them, make them poor and then he could give them some from after he sells all the art in the Vatican Museums. After all beauty and Tradition are silly....haven't you heard. It's embarrassing for Francis to see this coat of arms displayed it's like that ridiculous practice of counting prayers that Francis mocked when given a spiritual bouquet. The next thing is that you will want him to spend good money to have a stemma embroidered on his fascia like EVERY other pope before him has done. Silly, silly wasting your time worrying about beauty in like, it's all about the poor.
I'm surprised he would allow the papal tiara to be displayed. He makes Paul VI look like a conservative by comparison. Church is really heading in the wrong direction! What were the "princes of the church" thinking!!
Benedict XVI was chosen to be the leader of the Church and if anyone ever said, "What were the princes of the church thinking when choosing Benedict", they were immediately told, "If you don't like it you can leave." Now however, the question is freely asked about Francis without a moments hesitation. There is something wrong with this reality. To those who read this blog, Francis doesn't hate you, Francis isn't working against you. Our tradition asks us to trust in the Spirit's work and Francis is actively engaged in this work and helping us to realize what it is. Sometimes the truth is difficult to hear but it doesn't mean that we totally discount the one who brings it. You should love tradition. You should love the poor. Don't give yourselves over to extremes. Francis is the Pope and he's a damn good one - as was Benedict . Be thankful.
