Overpopulation: The Making of a Myth

Malthus was one of the foremost minds of his time, and as an economist, he actually did know his maths. his 1890 forcast turned out to be wrong because he has forgot to count with the effect of future technological innovations. However this does not mean, that his description of the nature of population growth was wrong as well.

    Being a priest does not at all mean that somebody is incompetent in real science (think about Gregor Mendel) and implicit statements like this can seriously undermine an argument.
