  1. Count Galeazzi was born in 1896 and died in Rome in 1986. He lived almost a century. Much of his life was in the service of the papacy. A powerful layman in the Church he served several popes and was once governor of Vatican City State. There are buildings in the Vatican that he designed as an architect. He was a mewmber of the knights of Columbus fraternal society. He was highly honored by the popes with various knighthoods and medals and titles. But, the King of italy gave him the title of "count'. The title has passed to his family now. He is buried inside the chapel of the north American College in Rome which he also designed after the original college on via Humilita were no longer had sufficient space for it growing number of seminarians.
