May these poor Christians be animated to new fervour. Divine Providence can draw good from the evil actions of men and has destined this journey for the edification of the Church and the salvation of innumerable souls.
Pray for the souls of these faithful martyrs. We know where the souls of these people are now: with Christ the King and the glorious band of white robed apostles who shed their blood for their God and His holy Church. Pray also for the consolation of their families. Most importantly, pray for the poor souls of the men ho committed these acts of evil. Pray for their conversion. Pray for their sanctification. And pray that Christians throughout the world respond to this not with more hate, but with the one thing that can and will overcome evil: Love.
Jesus, mercy! Mary, help us! Thank you, John, for this great tribute to these wonderful examples of faith; martyrs, to be sure. May they pray for us! And may we all, every one of us, be given the grace to live for Jesus, for His Church.
Orate pro nobis.
