This year Midnight Mass with the Pope starts not at 12 a.m. as in former years, but at 10 p.m.
Tickets are extremely limited.

Is there a requirement that the Midnight Mass for Christmas start at midnight? I'm guessing not, because the Holy Father is starting at 10:00, as you say. But it seems weird to start the Midnight Mass not at midnight. I've heard of a parish offering Midnight Mass in the Extraordinary Form at 7:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. That doesn't seem right to me. Any insight?
