Catholic Culture: Catholic Architects

Benghazi Cathedral, designed by Italian architects Guido Ottavo and Cabiati Ferrazza in the 1920s.  The massive bell tower was never completed, due to the Italian loss in 1943.

In 1970 it was turned into a mosque.  Soon after, a fire destroyed the interior. Today the building is abandoned and empty.
