I have never undertaken this pilgrimage but I have been to Chartres several times. To anyone who has not been there and who will be travelling to Paris or other parts of France please consider a visit to this amazing Gothic cathedral. It is redolent with history-- a 1000 years of it-- but today it still exudes a profound spiritual reality that stirs the soul. Read all you can about the cathedral. Then go. Everything that is said in this video about the annual pilgrimage is surely true. A great Catholic event.
