Actually, St. Joan of Arc did not "battle for the Church" since both sides were Roman Catholic, had bishops and priests who accompanied the armies and were waring over different claims to real estate by Henry VI and Charles VII . Presumably God sided with the French because of her visions but there was no religious component to the conflict.
