Agree, God bless and keep him and May Our Lord allow glorious miracles to be manifest upon his saintly intervention. And further may God bless our own Mons. Guido Marini.
Too bad we don't have a Pope who continues to wear these magnificent symbols of the Papacy. Benedict XVI did with pride. Too bad this present guy doesn't dress in Papal vesture at all....save for the white cassock which he would probably abolish in favor of clerical shirt and slacks if he could!
If a pope wearing a clerical shirt and slacks can save our mother church from all the garbage and filth it is in now, then God bless him.
It saddens me to see people who call themselves "true" catholics trapped in fabrics and empty symbols. Jesus Christ didn't wear lace or gold embroidery vestments, or red loafers. He wore plain clothes and sandals.
I want a pope who can bring back the lost sheep with a simple but powerful speech. The pope's job is keep the ship sailing no matter what clothes he is wearing or how much ermine trimmed cloaks he owns.
In 1986 I was assigned to the embassy of my country to the Holy See : the "gossips" I heard concerning Mgr Dante, gossips told by a Dominican Father (may he requiescat in pace) and that I would dare not repeat, if they were true, would certainly prevent him to be a saint !
Perche' santo subito??? Perche' queste inutili esagerazioni???
ReplyDeleteWhy not "santo subito": the guy on the left? After all, his surplice is lacier.
ReplyDeleteHere you can find a pictures of the cappello romano with embroideries: The red summer saturno in straw of H.H. Pope Benedict XVI, the white summer saturno in straw of H.H. John XXIII and a black beaver-hair saturno of an Archbishop. These hats are simply wonderful made, marvelous craftsmanship with golden bouillon and golden frisé threads, everything hand embroidered.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. God bless him, and God bless Mons. G. Marini!
