Look also at the very young faces of the two later cardinals: 1. Federeco Callori di Vignale (with glasses, next to the noble guard; crated cardinal in 1965) Domestic prelate of His Holiness and Canon of the patriarchal Vatican basilica 2.Mario Nasalli Rocca di Corneliano (crated cardinal in 1969), 1939 at the death of Pius XI. Privy chamberlain of His Holiness and Canon of the patriarchal Vatican basilica.
second pic is Pius XI
ReplyDelete"Subito" mica tanto, dato che รจ morto da oltre cinquant'anni!!
ReplyDeleteBoth pics are Pius XII.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but that second picture is definitely Pius XI. In anoher version Cardinal Pacelli is present.

The second photograph is assuredly of the mortal remains of Pius XI, NOT Pius XII.
ReplyDeleteIt is a smaller man laying on the bed, not a 6ft one. And the two photographs were taken on different beds, in different rooms.
Furthermore, I have seen an ORIGINAL of this photograph and it is inscribed, clearing away all doubt.

The first one looks more like Pius XII (he had that 'hooked' Roman nose). He looks absolutely ghastly!
ReplyDeleteHard to tell in the second one if that is Pius XI or Pius XII. It's too far to really know....
