These things are redolent of the things held in recusant times, when roof slates were used as altar stones and suchlike. In either case it shows that however dreadful the situation we will always be resourceful enough to adapt things to preserve the Mass and bring it to the people best served by it.

ReplyDeleteNo, you won't see many -- and don't expect a chasuble if you go to Mass either. But Mass is offered with dignity and beauty (in the extraordinary form) every Sunday at the Chapelle du Sacré Coeur de Lindthout. Join us when in the capital of Europe!
