Pope in India

-Riccardo

The Papal Vestment

"The Pope has been hitherto the only prelate in the Catholic Church who licitly celebrates Mass wearing nothing at all distinctive of his rank; keep the fanon and this problem has been solved."  -Gregory di Pippo

Unique Reverence of the Extraordinary Form

Holy Mass

For many it is just "Mass," but it is always a good idea for us to be in the habit of referring to it as, "Holy Mass."

Continued Prayers for the Butler

Yours truly took this pic last year, but we need to continue to pray for the conversion of the butler and the others involved.

The butler had been involved with the goofy Cistercian abbey linked to the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem (where I even saw him once with his family).  Then in 2011 the abbey was suppressed by a decree of the Congregation for Religious, approved by the Holy Father, following the results of an Apostolic Visitation

Where Did the Vatican II Chairs End Up?

Everywhere.  You can see many of them (and even the confessionals they built for the bishops), here and there in suburban Rome parishes.  These in the photo can be seen across the street from the Vatican inside inside Sts. Michele e Magno:

Rome's Port Gets a New Look

Since the bombings of WWII, the port of Rome has not been a pretty place.

This is changing.

Over the last several years they have done a lot to bring back the beauty.

This is the new look - a former parking lot and before that a former train yard.

There is no word for this effort in Italian, and so they use the English word " restyling."

Fanon: Grazie a Dio!

Finalmente.

Thanks, Summer!
