Thank you for this picture. I like so much the Vatican, I'm always trying to know what's going on there. It's not everyday that we can see this side of the Vatican.
We don't get "nepotism" through Italian though! The english word derives from the Latin (which is where Italian and other Romance languages get their equivalents too) for nephew or grandson, NEPOS (genetive NEPOTIS), masculine noun.
The English word nepotism comes from the Italian word nipote which means "nephew."
A great pity, that this unique and beatiful cortile is filled up with scrap and sheet metal
